SCHOLASTIC TOURNAMENT K-12 -
Main Cafeteria. Multiple sections
separated mostly by most current USCF rating. G/30 Check-in 8:30-9:00. Round 1 at 9:00 SHARP. Others follow ASAP. We will play as many rounds as we can by 4:00. (usually 5)
U S Chess Federation (USCF) rules apply in all sections (modified in non-rated).
USCF Rated Sections: Current Membership
Required - up to age 14 costs $13 (year) with no
magazine, up to age 19 costs $23 with Chess Life,
Adult $49. Include fee with entry.
Non-USCF Rated Scholastic Sections:
No membership required. Intended for
beginners and others who want to try
out a tournament before joining USCF.
Entry Fee: $10.00 by phone, e-mail, or entry from website before 11:00 pm August 19.

$8.00 if mailed with payment by August 17 or brought to Klein H.S. office by noon August 19. At Site Entry: $15.00 with first round forfeit. Remember: Klein HS is always COLD. Bring a sweater.

Rounds 9-12-2-4 (or earlier). USCF Membership Required (Age over 19 - $49)
Entry Fee: $12.00 by phone, e-mail, etc.; $10.00 by mail (see above) At Site: $20.00
The adult section will merge with the top scholastic section(s)

What You Need To Do
· Complete and return the entry form in advance. Incomplete entries
may not be processed, or may cause problems at the site.
· Bring your own Chess sets and clocks. There will be a concession
to sell these if you need to buy some more!
· Bring your lunch or lunch money, and a good attitude!
· Adult help is always needed and appreciated
